Hi, I’m Louise, An OCN Level 6 Accredited Baby and Child Sleep Consultant and the Founder of The Sleep Architects.

If you are on this site then I am guessing that you are a sleep deprived parent who is desperate for some sleep. I have also been that exhausted parent, desperately searching on google for the answer to how to get my baby to sleep, even for a few hours! As a mum of twins, born nearly six weeks early, sleep was elusive from the get go. Googling only added to my problems as I tried to make generic routines and wake windows work for two babies with very different needs. I was probably averaging around two hours of broken sleep a night. When I finally bit the bullet and committed to sleep training it was, without being dramatic, life changing. I began to feel human again and was able to be the parent I wanted to be instead of just trying to get the three of us through the day in one piece.

This led on to researching everything I possibly could about infant and child sleep and eventually completing OCN Level 6 training as a sleep practitioner. My aim now is to share this knowledge with parents, in a clear and concise way, and support them and their child to get better sleep. It is hard enough being a new parent, feeling sleep deprived and everything that comes alongside that, without then having to wade through loads of incorrect information which only serves to exacerbate your problems. It is our goal to help you better understand infant sleep and how to apply this knowledge to your own child to ultimately all get a good nights sleep.

OUR VALUES AND APPROACH

The aim of the The Sleep Architects is to support parents with their child’s sleep, using research backed and evidence based information.  We support children aged 4 months to 4 years.

There is so much misinformation out there, which can not only cause confusion but when implemented can also make any issues you might be having a lot worse. Speaking from experience, trying to get your baby to adhere to generic wake windows and sticking rigidly to a routine which isn’t designed for their sleep needs will more than likely make their sleep worse.

It is possible for your child to sleep well and it doesn’t have to take months for this to happen either. We offer guidance and support to parents who wish to make a change to their child’s sleep. All support provided is personalised to you and your child’s needs.
